ARS invented the Turbocut saw, the first saw with a tri-edge blade. This is why some areas of the world call tri-edge pull saws "ARS-style" saws. ARS continues to be a leader in professional saw design.

Why are ARS saws superior? ARS saws offers long-lasting sharpness and clog-free sawing with a finished cut so perfectly smooth it appears to be planed! The ARS tri-edge tooth blades are made of special high-carbon steel that is then Marquench-hardened. This special heat treatment system produces very hard, very tough blades. The razor-sharp, precision ground teeth set securely into wood for fast and effortless pull action.

Why are tri-edge saws superior to conventional saws? The tri-edge Turbocut saws from ARS cut on the pull stroke, reducing the likelihood of injury. The bevels of the cutting edges are angled to cut in the middle leaving a smooth, almost planed finish. The blades are concave, larger at the teeth and the back of the saw and smaller in the middle of the blade to reduce the possibility of binding. The tri-edge saws complete cuts anywhere from 30% - 100% faster than conventional saws, depending on the type of material and cut. The operation of pull saws requires less force and effort to perform the cut, reducing fatigue.
